We love our bathroom!
It may still be small and just large enough to turn around in by the time we have the laundry hamper in, but it’s clean and fresh and bright now. Yeah for paint, a new shower curtain, and a couple of new green hand towels! Absalutely amazing how much of a change that made. Now if I could just make that old dark blue laundry hamper disappear . . . but that won’t be happening any time soon since it’s still a good solid hamper with no issues! (No, No, No! You don’t need to create any for it either, but thank you for thinking of me just the same!)
Charity’s planting in the garden yielded some lovely splashes of color . . .
I never fail to be amazed at her photgraphic views of life either!
Working with just a humble Sony point-and-shoot basically, she coaxes out the most amazing shots.
Toying with the light . . .
Now just add in a hint of color . . .
And a little more . . .
And check out the red on the blue . . .
Hevcoh suggested a college class on photography for her awhile ago. I have put the idea out for Charity’s review, and she indicates some interest in it, so I’m hoping we can figure something out for that in the next year or so.
Kristina and Chad have been enjoying the warmer weather!
Oh yes they have! Between the splash pool and the water squirters, fun times abound!
I took my turn–now it’s yours!
Todd’s hands after he spent time working with his Dad. . .
He’s spent a good chunk of time this spring working with Paul, and developing some more muscles. While Todd doesn’t think construction is his field, he admits he prefers it to sitting around at home. At least he is out and about and doing things! Since Paul says he feels the advancing years taking a toll on him, we are truly grateful for Todd being able to step in and help with various jobs.
My little guy turned all of SIX YEARS OLD yesterday!! We had planned to take a family day outing before we left for Katya’s country, and it just worked out that it was best to do it on Chad’s BD. So he got “the best birthday EVER!” according to him! He got to choose where to eat lunch–Chinese–and when the waitress realized it was his birthday she fixed uip a special plate just for him and came and sang happy birthday to him! It was soo sweet of her and he was SOOO pleased! (Just look how pink he is!)
We then went to The Works Museum where to our great happiness we found out we could receive free admission due to our membership at another Science Center. WHOOEEE! Chad told us that once they knew it was his birthday they’d give him something. We tried to gently tell him that we didn’t think they would, but he steadfastly assured us that they WOULD. Well, to everyone’s surprise but his . . . they sure did!! He got a goody bag all decorated with curly ribbon and a “Happy Birthday” card and inside were goodies like a small tub of silly goo and a pencil and things like that. Chad’s intuition about so many things never fails to amaze me.
While I would LOVE to blog at length about his birthday and all the fun stuff we got to do together . . .the ticking clock doesn’t stop . . I’ve started packing our suitcases . . . because we have got TICKETS and we are LEAVING to see Katya on Saturday!!!
Please be in prayers . . . there are so many angles that need prayed about urgently. Pray for us to be protected by God. Pray esp. for spiritual, physical, emotional and financial protection for us. Thank you.
