Charity and I jointly crafted these pincushions. It would be hard to say which one of us “did the most” because we work together so well on a project like this. I love working with Charity and am grateful to have a daughter who can help my ideas become reality.
Both of these items were left from when we were crafting like mad-women for Katya’s adoption expenses. We just never finished them. The supplies to create the pincushions were all able to be pulled from our stash, making me very happy! I needed a creative outlet that was not going to cost anything currently.
This one reminds me of spring–and it’s already sold! Within about 5 minutes of listing it.
And this one reminds me of winter . . .
It’s similar to one we made when we were fundraising for Katya. But still unique and one of a kind. I don’t think any of the teacup pincushions I have made have ever been exactly the same. The one below (a fundraiser pincushion) was different in various small details, even while some things are the same.
Sadly, I have not been able to find a lot of teacups and saucers for the last year at our local thrift store. In fact, I have seen so few (esp. anything that is in the china category) that I suspect they may have begun selling them elsewhere if they are donated to the shop. When my stash (which isn’t very large) runs out, I wonder where I will find more?!
